Farmers who made time to attend the NSWFA and OEH renewable energy and solar PV pumping seminar series launch in Griffith, NSW got a wealth of practical information on solar PV pumping from local producers as well as expert tips and guidance.

They also got first look at two practical new guides to implementing renewable energy systems on-farm that specifically address farmers’ needs.

The two guides, Renewable energy in agriculture: A farmer’s guide to technology and feasibility and Solar-powered pumping in agriculture: A guide to system selection and design, were produced by NSW Farmers Association (NSWFA) in collaboration with the NSW Office of Environment & Heritage (OEH).

As an adjunct to the solar PV pumping guide, NSWFA and OEH released two targeted eight-page supplements, one for livestock farmers and the other for those running irrigated operations.
